Super Bowl LI makes history

And the winner is……THE PATRIOTS!

I am sure we have all read, heard, and seen many different reactions to the outcome of the Super Bowl held on Feb 5; however, this particular game was one for the record books.

The Bleacher Report predicted that the scoring breakdown for Super Bowl LI would be:

Team First

Quarter

Second Quarter Third

Quarter

Fourth Quarter Final

Score

New England Patriots 7 7 7 10 31
Atlanta Falcons 3 7 7 7 24

The over/under for the game was set at 58.5.  Now, not that we bet at here at our Nazarene school…but if you bet over, you won the bet as the combined score was 62 points.

While the Bleacher Report’s prediction on who would win was right, the breakdown of scores looked very different:

Team First

Quarter

Second Quarter Third

Quarter

Fourth Quarter Over Time Final

Score

New England Patriots 0 3 6 19 6 34
Atlanta Falcons 0 21 7 0 0 28
