Woman’s soccer loses to nemesis

Olivet’s women’s soccer team lost 2-0 to the Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders—now described as Olivet’s “nemesis” by ONU Marketing.

The Raiders sent the Tigers home early at last year’s national championships, according to Marketing.

“At the first half they had nine shots to our three, second half we limited them to only 2 shots and we had 2 shots as well so it was an even second half,” head coach Bill Bahr said. “They played with heart.”

Bahr’s after-game-talk stressed the need for forwards to be more aggressive in their shooting.

“We need to want the ball more,” senior forward Mckenzie Hengesh said. “Our forwards are awesome, and they’re so fast. We have the ability. We have the skill. We just need the desire to put that ball in the net. I want to put that ball in the net, but I was playing defense for most of the game. “
