IBM’s Watson supercomputer can cook, BBC reports. With “hundreds of thousands of different flavor combinations in the world” the supercomputer will use an algorithm to create “some original but tasty new recipes.”
“Flavourbots” will be creating recipes at the “film and musical festival SXSW” in Austin, Texas. Attendees will use the hashtag #IBMFoodTruck on Twitter to vote on dishes that they would like Watson to cook each day.
“We made an Italian grilled lobster that paired saffron, tomato, pumpkin, mint, olives, orange and bacon – something that we would never have thought of putting all together,” a senior software engineer said.
