Patrick Snay, formerly the headmaster at Gulliver Prep School in Miami, recently won an age discrimination law suit against the school after Gulliver Prep decided to not renew his contract. The settlement was $80,000, Yahoo reports.
The agreement contained a confidentiality clause, meaning neither Snay nor the school were allowed to talk about the case.
However, Snay’s daughter Dana decided to brag about the case on Facebook posting “Mama and Papa Snay won the case against Gulliver. Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe this summer. SUCK IT,” she wrote.
Word of her post got back to the school’s lawyers and the verdict was appealed.
“Snay violated the agreement by doing exactly what he had promised not to do,” Judge Linda Ann Wells told Yahoo News. “His daughter then did precisely what the confidentiality agreement was designed to prevent.”
