The oldest known Holocaust survivor died at 110 on Feb. 23, CNN reports.
Alice Herz-Sommer was a talented musician and pianist and lived alone in her flat in London.
“My world is music. I’m not interested in doing anything else,” she said in the 2014 Oscar nominated documentary on her life, “The Lady in Number 6: Music Saved My Life.”
Herz-Sommer was imprisoned in the Theresienstadt concentration camp during World War II. She and others played music that entertained the Nazi officers.
