“Winning those kind of close games feels good” Holaway said, “It was an exciting game – both teams were fighting hard.”

Lauren Johnson got a single to tie the game at 3-3 then Holaway struck the ball that allowed Johnson to run in and make Olivet come away from the game victorious.

“The game went really well, although hitting could have been better – we played well at the right times to get the win,” Holaway said.

The Lady Tigers split a double header with Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) on Tuesday but then lost to rival St. Xavier yesterday to fall to 36-10 and 8-4 in conference play.

In the NAIA poll that came out on April 12, the team jumped three spots to 13 following their win against Trinity Christian. It is the highest ranking for the team this season. The Lady Tigers are also currently second in the CCAC, right behind St. Xavier.

This weekend they will travel to Mishawaka, Indiana to play in the Bethel College Tournament.
