A student charged with filing a false police report appeared in court yesterday.
After missing her original court date on Jan. 21, sophomore Amanda Eskewwas ordered to the courtroom of Chief Judge Kathy Bradshaw-Elliott on Thursday, Feb. 24.
Because Eskew does not have an attorney, Judge Elliott said she would assign a public defender to her case.
Eskew will return to court on Friday, April 1. She was unavailable for comment at press time.
Judge Elliott said on Thursday that Eskew had been charged with a felony for giving a false report to Bourbonnais police in November.
